Hockey Coaching

We can compare hockey coaching to some parallels. Every vessel needs a captain as well as a big company needs a director. All we agree, that those leaders are significant element of desired success.
So, what is that secret or special skills to be great leader - coach?
Hockey coaching includes many different hockey fields:
- Coach is the one , who makes short/long term practice plans for physical and technical preparation of a team and players.
- Coach is the person, who decide which hockey system and strategy team will try to apply.
- Coach has the last word in team selection and he must build lines and set in particular player according game situations.
- Coach motivates a players and he creates specific team glamour and good vibrations.
Hockey coaching includes also individual or personal coaching. More and more players from all age groups and skill levels use cooperation with personal coach. This approach is unambiguously very effectual and becomes very popular by many professional players.
An evaluation of hockey coaches is based on results of a team or an individual player. And the coach is responsible for it.
We can see, that every coach is original and every one uses different ways of coaching. That's why it is not possible to make some kind of coaching manual. However our goals is to bring to you the best experiences and opinions of many professional coaches.
To make it more transparent, we make several categories:
- coaching particular hockey skills
- physical preparation - conditioning
- game systems and strategy
- coaching psychology
- player evaluation, team selection and building lines
Most of all mentioned categories we look from two stand points:
- team coaching
- individual coaching
As you can see, all above mentioned categories of coaching contain many different skills and covers all hockey knowledge including all hockey skills, psychology, physiology, regeneration and knowledge of hockey world generally.
As you can see, our goal is to bring to you everything about coaching. But one more time..., we don't claim to make some kind of coaching manual, we'd like create a place for sharing coaching knowledge, tips and experience.
